Context

Get A-Head™ is an interactive mobile application that provides e-counselling support across various social mediums including: audio, video, and text enabling those in need of mental health support efficient, affordable, stigma-free access to care.

Simplifying the tracking, delivery, and administration of mental health services increase accessibility, decreases cost of care, and provides key insights that can help clients with their mental fitness.

Digital technologies continue to disrupt every sector including the mental health space. Research has demonstrated that e-Mental health is just as effective as face-to-face services and can enhance clinical practice; this has resulted in more people having access to care, reduced economic burden and costs on our healthcare system, improved quality of care, and improved mental health for Canadians.

Process

DISCOVER, DEFINE, DESIGN, AND DELIVER

We followed human-centred design processes by first conducting user research. After synthesizing inspiring insights from interviews, we defined the problem and jumped right into the ideation phase. From sketches all the way into fidelity prototypes, we gradually created the first version of the application. Right now, we are conducting usability testings and will iterate more based on the feedback we receive.
